Vintage Native American Basket

A few years ago, I thrifted a small very vintage Native American basket.

It has some damage, but it is petite and sweet, and having loved vintage Indian baskets for years (and knowing I couldn't afford them) coming across this was like finding gold.

It was about $5 which is a very decent price, despite the damage. I don't care about the damage. I just want to preserve it for the rest of its life.

Do I know the tribe from which this was made? Unfortunately not. If someone does know, based on the design, let me know in the comments. I would love to know.

Meanwhile, it sits on display on my sideboard. Sometimes, I move it to a cabinet with glass doors so it's more protected from dust and decay.

I'm thrilled to have even thrifted it.
