Marilyn Monday | 15 Photos of Vintage Selvedge Denim on Marilyn Monroe

Since I just wrote about selvedge denim and what it is, being that it’s “Marilyn Monday,” I thought I’d post a few of her in selvedge denim. 

Note the seam. That’s what makes it selvedge. Look at your jeans today. Check the seams. They look nothing like this (unless it’s selvedge, of course).

Here she is wearing selvedge denim and most likely vintage Levi’s denim at that. 

Remember, it takes more time and money to create selvedge denim, which means they last longer.  This is why they’re in such demand today.
