Today, I went to four thrift stores, sifted/ looked/ glanced/ and glazed over probably 100,000 pieces of clothing or more. Out of that number, I came out with only four items to sell.
That's how it is. The good stuff is one in 25,000 or so. Sure, there were plenty of other vintage items that I saw, but now that I'm starting my 15th year on Etsy, I've become more selective.
True, true vintage - i.e. 1980s and older - is where it's at for me.
But... it's worth it. Even though I can't see straight and my eyeballs want to fall out of their sockets, this is all a part of the "labor of love" that sourcing vintage is all about.
Here's what I got:
- one vintage '80s Pendleton, made in USA, wool shirt - nice!
- one vintage '40s / '50s loop collar corduroy shirt - wow!
- one vintage '60s mid-century yellow thick cotton robe - love this color!
- one vintage '90s Banff t-shirt - from 1990.
All good stuff. All of it. And headed to the shop this week.
Thanks for taking a look with me. ♥
